Anglo Saxons, Writing myths, Creating manuscripts
3/4H are really enjoying having topics each term. We use the topic in most of our subjects. In the Autumn term our theme was Anglo Saxons, so we were sent back in time to experience life as an Anglo-Saxon.
We used the internet to research their clothes, food and daily life. Through this we learnt how to enter a web address in the URL window.
In literacy we were empathising with characters. We wrote myths and wrote diaries to explore how slaves and landowners were different.
In art we created manuscripts using Anglo Saxon patterns. Miss Hardman let us make them look authentic by carefully ripping the sides of the paper and dying them with tea!
We have had a really enjoyable term. We are looking forward to our "Around the World" and "Viking" topic.
